"Hearsay" by Neck N Neck (Jazz band from Wisconsin (WI))

On "Hearsay," Joe Caploe combines a number of instruments of different cultures to create a unique jazz sound that is captivating. The many different percussive instruments produce a multi-layered beat that provides each track with a deep rhythmic backbone. The creativity on this CD is very high, as this blend of world instruments come together to create a unique, yet enjoyable sound. The excellent musicianship on these various instruments is clear throughout the CD. Some tracks, such as "Corridors," take on a percussive, and almost tropical jazz sound. Check out this CD to hear the enjoyable world fusion created by Joe Caploe and his Neck N Neck band with their unique blend of instruments.

"Subterranean Dream" by Stephanie K (Jazz Artist from Germany)

"Subterranean Dream" by Stephanie K is a pleasantly soothing jazz collection. Stephanie's tranquil tone engages listeners with an unreleasable grasp. Poise, grace and sophistication best describe her elegant tone. Moreover, the instrumentation on this CD is equally as skillful, adding to the overall serene mood of the album. "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight" stands out due to its beautiful lyrics and captivating melody. The dreamy "Straight Ahead" also shines as the instrumentation takes on a likeable free-flow vibe. Moreover, "Can't We Be Friends" flaunts some amazing piano work. Overall, "Subterranean Dream" is the complete package: Terrific vocal performances backed by top-notch musicianship and professional production.

“One More Yesterday” by Ron Ka-ipo (Easy Listening/Jazz artist from Hawaii (HI))

"One More Yesterday" by the creatively diverse Ron Ka-ipo is a pleasantly eclectic collection of heart-felt love songs. Easy-listening, blues, reggae, country, rock, and Latin flavors are just a few of the ingredients that contribute to this tasteful mixture. Throughout the CD, there is a tropical/Hawaiian ambiance, solid instrumentation and professional production. The reggae spiced "Aloha Nui Don Ho" opens up this CD, wasting no time in introducing listeners to Ron's calm, romantic tone. "Ke Alaula" is another noteworthy tune, driven by Latin percussion, beautiful acoustic guitars, and nice string arrangements. If you enjoy calming, romantic music with a Hawaiian flavor, you will enjoy this CD.
